Snow Tunnel

8 week online workshop
lesson 2
Exposure Triangle

Spent the afternoon with my big kid playing out in the snow. Her cousins built her a snow tunnel! Meanwhile, I sat nearby with my camera in hand 🙂

27 years old from Saint Paul MN (US). I have a 3 year old daughter, a son in heaven who would be 2, and 1 year old identical twin sons! I've been with my husband for 10 years but we've only been married since August 2013. I have always loved photography and just 5 months ago upgraded from my point n shoot to a canon t3 DSLR. I'm in love!

  1. … And I totally listed these under the wrong one. It should be lesson 2, Topic 1….

  2. That’s OK I fixed it for you.
Wow that looks cold. She’s obviously having a great time.
Well done on the exposure. You managed white snow (not grey) which is quite difficult (any exposure compensation?).
Feedback – watch out for bright blue things (bin?) in the background. My eye kept being drawn to it because it stands out so much.
    Other than that, good job!

    • Thanks for fixing it!

I hadn’t noticed the blue bin till after I loaded them, I should have moved it before. I bet I could photoshop it out… I really need to start watching for distractions when I’m shooting!

      Thank you!

    • Oh and I think I use +1 exposure again. After loading these I thought maybe I could have used +2.

  3. Lovely pics of your daughter and the snow….it’s funny to see pictures of snow when we are in the middle of summer and all my pics seem to be in the pool or at the beach! It reminds me of growing up in the UK in Winter. 🙂

  4. I miss the snow its obly been a year since I saw some brilliant photos shows how much fun they are having x

  5. The colours in these photos are so bright and vibrant! Love them 🙂
