camera basics and understanding exposure
lesson/challenge 8

HI Robyn! Here’s another sample as you requested. No editing done. I had Logan sitting facing an open window (it was about 2 hours before sunset on a semi overcast day). On this one the histogram is fairly accurate, but I had my shutter slow, my aperture pretty open, ISO at 800 and my exposure comp at +5. What am I doing wrong? Why are these still so dark? It wasn’t nearly that dark in the room when I took the photo (considering the window faces the brighter side of the house. And on the histogram, I still feel like there are SOME brighter spots (the bouncy seat in the back, the light on his face) so shouldn’t there be a tiny bit more on the highlights side? I’ll try to do at least one more post for you to see.
