Lesson 3

Lesson 3

camera basics and understanding exposure
lesson/challenge 3

I enjoyed this challenge its the first time I have ever noticed the difference between the settings I really like the portrait mode I think I need to start taking photos somewhere else though you are probably fed up with the red sofa. I tried to crop the photo with my thumb in the way but my computer wont let me save it. it looks a lot better with out my thumb.

  1. Hi Deb, yes watch out for that thumb. But I like the angle on that one. It’s lovely when you get down to their level.
I’m not so sure about the one of the two kids though. The angle and the dark background makes it look a bit like they’re floating. Looking straight down might be better. But I love the expressions on their faces and it’s obvious they are having a great time.
In the photo with the balloons you could crop out the cupboard in the background and it would be less distracting from your lovely baby. The metal bit (leg?) draws the eye.
Keep practicing with Portrait mode. It’s perfect for pictures of the kids.
