Kids in Glasses

Kids in Glasses

8 week online workshop
lesson 4
Goodby Blur

A few months ago I learned how to focus/recompose my shots. It is my #1 way of focusing now, I find adjusting focal points to be a bit clumsy.

The kids photos were taken using the focus/recompose method and the glasses were taken by adjusting focal points.

I didn’t do much with the shutter speed assignment because I’m already very familiar with that.

27 years old from Saint Paul MN (US). I have a 3 year old daughter, a son in heaven who would be 2, and 1 year old identical twin sons! I've been with my husband for 10 years but we've only been married since August 2013. I have always loved photography and just 5 months ago upgraded from my point n shoot to a canon t3 DSLR. I'm in love!

  1. Hehe these made me giggle. Love a good laugh with my morning cup of coffee. And it looks like the kids were enjoying this particular photo shoot too!
I use the focus and recompose mouthed always as well. It works so I don’t mess with it. Well done yet again.

    • Thank Robyn! It was fun.

  2. I love the shot with your daughter in the extra large glasses! I have to work more on the focus/recompose method…but am having fun practising!!!

  3. These are gorgeous photos! The background is perfect because it is a great colour but not distracting. All three faces are in focus. Really lovely šŸ™‚

    • Thank you! My dear daughter picked the background today šŸ™‚
