ISO at the zoo

ISO at the zoo

8 week online workshop
lesson 2

In the first 3 shots I took at the zoo I had forgotten to change the ISO settings so they were all taken at ISO 6400. I can notice the noise in the shadow areas, but the subjects of the shots are still quite sharp at this high ISO. I have since played with the ISO starting at 200 and going to my camera’s highest ISO25600 and really anything over ISO6400 adds too much noise to the subject. The last shot of the meerkats is when I realised that the ISO was too high, so I lowered it to ISO200 and I can definitely tell that it is a much clearer shot, if not a bit too dark.
1. ISO6400, f/6.3, 1/250, 0.3EV
2. ISO6400, f/6.3, 1/800, 0.3EV
3. ISO6400, f/6.3, 1/2000
4. ISO200, f/6.3, 1/80
