Distractions and Exposure Issues

Moments That Matter: lesson 8: topic 3: the rest

Image 1 – I’d love to know how to get rid of the distractions in the background. I’m using Pikmonkey but the basic version. When I watched the tutorials you needed the royale upgrade to remove the distractions. Can I remove with basic pikmonkey? Image 2 – Ignatius is a little too overexposed, the surrounds are too dark in comparison. How can I ‘balance’ the colours? Can it be done?

  1. To answer your first question: You will need to upgrade to Royale to get that functionality. It’s only about $35 per year so it may be worth it if you’re going to want to edit your photos. Also check out my comments on your last post regarding other options.
I’ll download the photo of Ignatius and have a play with it. I’ll record you a little tutorial on how to balance out the exposure on images like this. Give me a day or two and I’ll post it and send you a link.
