Photo Editing: Things I Always Do lesson

Photo Editing: Things I Always Do lesson

This is uploaded for Melissa as the WordPress gremlins have been at work and form uploads were not working earlier. Fingers crossed it’s fixed now. Jack: This is my first photo-editing technique, and I think I did okay!  I removed some background distractions (a bright spot and a blanket in the bottom corner) but couldn’t figure out how to effectively do anything with the furniture beh... »

Rusty Feedback

Rusty Feedback

Here is the feedback for Rosemary’s Rusty photos. shutter speed 1/250 – aperture f2.2.- Lovely depth of field and great focus. The eyes are lovely and sharp (you can even see people, sky and grass reflected in Rusty’s eyes which is an indication of tack sharp focus). While the eyes are sharp the background is nice and blurred which helps to draw focus to the eyes which are the mo... »

depth of field

depth of field

Robyn Focused on depth of field today, found I prefer a closer up look though have included a far away one that I did appeal (no 4) Wasn’t too sure with activity 2 & 3 whether I was meant to move from where I was to the subject as well as moving the lens, so I played around with both. Image 1 – iso 64, F5.1 and 1/140. I liked how the close up of Mariah and the slight pink colour to... »

video tutorial: hide blown out sky

video tutorial: hide blown out sky

Here’s a super quick video to answer a question from Siobhan: how to hide a blown out sky.     This one was actually quite easy as there was a nice tree on the other side to use to fill in the space. It’s not always that easy!   p.s. apologies for the echo in the audio. I’m having renovations done and I had to hide in the bathroom away from the painters to record t... »
